| Beyond Head & Shoulders: Integrating Diversity Concepts into Circle Time |
Experiences in the early years are critical for establishing a sense of self and understanding of the diversity of the communities where we live. As early childhood educators we can go beyond “head and shoulders” notion of circle times to offer programming that fosters appreciation of diversity and provides life lessons to enhance child’s the view of the world. Interactive circle times can promote children’s positive self-esteem and healthy cultural identity. In this workshop we will look at a variety of resources that ensure anti-bias and diversity education is incorporated into all our circle times.
Maximum number of participants is 30. |
