| Taking Learning Outdoors |
Enrich your children’s outdoor experiences with simple, powerful nature activities, games and songs used by Metro Vancouver Park Staff. Direct contact with nature helps children develop respect and care for the environment and can positively affect their development. This workshop will introduce you to a variety of hands-on activities that can be applied to your backyard or natural areas in your community. Our sensory based approach has been connecting children with nature since 1977. Handouts provided.
Wear suitable clothing as we will go outdoors for some of the day rain or shine.
Suitable for all early learning and child care professionals.
Participants must attend the entire course (4 hours of training).
Bring a bag lunch (no microwave use pls).
Maximum number of participants is 30.

| Presenters |
Lori Bartley is a Park Interpretation Leader with Metro Vancouver Regional Parks. She has been engaging children in nature programs for nearly 25 years. Lori is an award winning heritage interpreter with a background in public programming. She is a naturalist, puppeteer, singer and story teller and enjoys sharing her skills with people who work with children.
