School Age Care Staff Substitue
Must have valid Child Care First Aid Certificate and clear a Criminal Record Check . ECEA, ECE Diploma an asset.
Experince working in a school age care setting for a minimum of 2 years, day camp experience a huge asset.
Staff work together as a team (2 staff with 20 kids) to plan and implement fun & engaging activities for our group of school age children, ages 5 -12yrs. We run out of The West End Community Centre, and pick up from 2 neighborhood schools. Many of the kids that are enrolled take classes within the Community Centre.
As a sub, you may be called on short notice to cover staff when they are sick, or have a planned schedule to cover staff on holidays.
Salary & Benefits:
$18.72/hr 4% vacation paid out each pay period
We are enrolled in the Wage Enhancement Program for any regular staff that have their ECE, this would increase wage by $1/hr when working directly with the children.
West End Kids Care is a before & after school program that provides care for children ages 5-12 located at The West End Community Centre. We are looking for a reliable, responsible and outgoing staff that can work on a casual basis, and potentially become a full time staff. Our program does not run during Summer, Winter or Spring Break, however there may be potential for work during Winter & Spring Day Camps.
The hours of the program are 7:30am - 9:00am and 3:00pm - 6:00pm, full days on school closures.
Potential to become a regular staff in September when we expand our program.
We also run a preschool program for toddlers that runs 5 days a week and hours in that program would also be available. We are looking for someone who can start as sub with potential to become permanant.
