Required Experience:
QUALIFICATIONS
- Food Safe Certification
- First Aid Certification
- Written verification of physical and mental good health as stated by a qualified physician
- Clear Criminal Record Check – completed by Grandview Terrace
- Six months of recent related experience cooking for children aged 18 months to five years
- ECE or ECEA certificate is an advantage as more hours are available for casual work in the Day Care or Out of School care programs.
Key Responsibilities:
RESPONSIBILTIES
- Deliver and provide nutritious lunches and snacks in accordance with the Canada Food Guide for children ages 18 months to 5 years.
- Keep kitchen maintained in accordance with environmental health standards.
- Create weekly menus, purchase food and supplies, receive food orders, store food in accordance with food safety standards.
- Works supportively and cooperatively as an effective member of the Grandview Terrace team.
Salary & Benefits:
WHAT WE OFFER
Salary - $19.05/hour
Benefits – 100% employer paid Dental, Extended Health Benefits, Life Insurance and ADD, Medical Services Plan.
Vacation entitlement – three weeks per year, prorated the first year.
Additional Notes:
HOURS OF WORK - Monday to Friday – 9:00 to 1:00
