Must have the Early Childhood Education Infant/Toddler Post-Basic Certificatefrom BC, and the Early Childhood Education Post-Basic (Special Needs Specialization) Certificate
Required Experience:
At least 1 year of experience is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
> Caregiving & Routine Support

Provide nurturing care for children aged 0–36 months

Support routines such as feeding, diapering, toileting, and napping in a responsive and hygienic manner

Observe and respond to children’s cues

Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to support:

Observe and document each child’s development

Identify and communicate developmental milestones or concerns

Maintain clean and safe environments in compliance with BC licensing regulations

Conduct regular checks on toys, equipment, and the classroom

Follow protocols for illness, injuries, and emergency preparedness

Build trusting relationships with parents/guardians

Share updates about the child’s day, development, and routines

Offer support and resources when needed (e.g., transitions, referrals)
