SFU Childcare Society is recognized for its quality early care and learning. We have been providing and promoting a play based, family focused early care and learning program for children ages 3 months to 12 years since 1968. Required Experience:

• The most competitive candidates will meet the qualifications of a Responsible Adult: be at least 19 years of age; able to provide care and mature guidance to children; have completed a course or a combination of courses of at least 20 hours duration in child development, guidance, health and safety or nutrition; and have relevant work experience.
• We seek candidates who have: a predisposition for ongoing learning and personal growth; reflective work with children; an eagerness to collaborate with co- teachers; a disposition towards research and inquiry; experience designing curriculum that is co-learner, collaborative, inquiry based as reflected in the Early Learning Framework document.
• Ideal candidates also support inclusive approaches, are involved in community enrichment/volunteer experience and have a long- term commitment.
• SFUCCS has a Covid-19 vaccination mandate that is currently suspended. However, should the Covid-19 vaccine mandate be reinstated, it will be a requirement for all current and future employees

Salary & Benefits:

• Starting salary: $22.30 with annual increases
• 4% benefits.
