Required Experience:

The ideal cadidate will:

• Hold a valid BC ECE, or
  Infant/Toddler,  license to practice
• Hold a valid 1st Aid + CPR
  Certificate
• Consent to a Criminal Record check 
• Knowlege of the Reggio Emilia approach
• Have a passion for ongoing growth and professional development
• Be flexible, punctual, and be a positive team player
• Uses both music and humour as positive teaching tools

Key Responsibilities:

• Build strong relationships with the children & their families
• Create curriculum and develop Pedagogical Documentation
• Work collaboratively as part of a teaching team 
• Show creativity, enthusiasm, and a sincere passion for the field of Early Childhood Care + Education
• Ability to work individually when needed
• Create & Implement age appropriate provocations and documentation to further develop the wonder of exploration
• Enjoy the outdoors; we love to spend time exploring and walking in our neighbourhood
• Displays strong communication and writing skills 

Salary & Benefits:

• $29.00-$31.00 per hour (which includes 6$ Wage Enhancemen)
• 6% vacation pay will be added to each pay period
• 1 'bonus' week paid summer break
• Flexibility and support for extended vacation time
• Rotating shifts between 7:45am-5:15pm (Centre is open 7:45am-5:00pm)
• 7.5 hours direct service ~ 1/2 hour paid break + 1/2 hour unpaid break

Gordon House Childcare is a licensed group childcare facility located in a cozy building in the heart of West Vancouver. We are licensed for 12, 3~5 year olds and 8, infant + toddlers.  We are close to the West Vancouver Community Centre, library, shops, bus route, various beaches and the beautiful seawall.
