About You

We are seeking highly motivated, passionate, flexible, and compassionate individuals to join our dynamic child care teams as School Age Care Educators in our School Age Programs for children ages 5-12 located within our neighbourhood at our various locations, The Village @ Lord Nelson, Nootka, Kids World and Ta7a Lam which is located at Queen Victoria Annex.

About the Position

The School Age Care Educators are responsible for the provision of a school age care program that fosters a positive, and emergent learning environment with a focus on the social and emotional well being of all children. We are an inclusive, multicultural, dynamic and collaborative child care setting which includes working with other educators to plan and implement a progressive and innovative program inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, BC Early Learning Framework in concert with the values of FHNH. Other responsibilities include developing strong and collaborative relationships and communication with children, families and colleagues.

 

Salary & Benefits:

Hours: These are regular part time positions at 18.5-27.25 hours/week, Monday to Friday 7:30-9:00am to 2:15/2:30 to 6:00pm and one afternoon only position 2:30 to 6:00, plus weekly meeting for all positions.  During winter, spring and summer breaks and school professional development days, shift times will vary. In addition, there will be occasional evening meetings and/or trainings.

Salary & Benefits:

Hourly Salary: $23.65-$24.48.  This position qualifies for the additional $6.00 WE for any candidate with ECE.
