Montessori Casa Lead Teacher
Additional Qualifications:
Recognized Montessori Early Childhood/Primary credential for ages 3–6. Valid British Columbia ECE Certificate, or eligibility to obtain certification before employment begins. Current Emergency Child Care First Aid and CPR, or willingness to obtain it. Strong English communication, documentation, and family-relations skills. Legal authorization to work in Canada is required.
Required Experience:
Minimum six years of Montessori Casa/Primary classroom experience, including substantial Lead Teacher or Head Guide responsibility. Experience establishing a prepared environment, leading an uninterrupted work cycle, mentoring classroom educators, and communicating with families is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the daily operation of a Montessori Casa classroom serving children ages 2.5–5.
- Prepare and maintain a beautiful, orderly, and developmentally appropriate environment.
- Protect and guide a consistent, uninterrupted Montessori work cycle.
- Present Montessori materials accurately and confidently.
- Observe children and maintain lesson plans, observation notes, and developmental records.
- Guide and mentor Montessori teachers, ECEs, and classroom assistants.
- Communicate professionally and compassionately with families.
- Collaborate with the Principal and Manager to establish classroom systems and school culture.
- Maintain compliance with British Columbia childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements.
Salary & Benefits:
$34–$36 per hour, based on Montessori credentials, qualifications, and classroom leadership experience. Extended health and dental benefits are available after successful completion of the probationary period. Paid professional development and continued Montessori learning are supported.

Together We Grow Montessori School is a new Montessori Casa program preparing to open on West Broadway in Vancouver. This is an opportunity to join our founding educational team and help shape a new school from its beginning.
Our mixed-age classrooms will serve children ages 2.5–5 in thoughtfully prepared environments. The opening date is subject to the completion of construction, licensing, and final approvals.
