Required Experience:

Minimum 1 year experience in a childcare program

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervision and daily delivery of one of the School Age Care programs
• Supervision of children in split age groups for school age children
• Supervision and safety of the children, positive guidance and be a positive role model
• Ensure age-appropriate program planning and implementation of program activities and snack preparation
• Supervision and mentoring of 1 other program staff
• Program shop for snack and program supplies
• Manage and maintain the monthly petty cash and the program monthly budget
• Liaise professionally with parents, teachers, Licensing Officer, BC Centre for Ability
• Understanding of licensed childcare regulations

Salary & Benefits:

Shift: Monday to Friday, 1:00-6:00pm.

Possibility of additional hours with morning care (7:30am-9:00am). 25 hrs/week or with the addition of Morning Care, a total of 32.5 hours/week (split shift). Additional hours on Pro-D Days, School Closures and School Breaks (winter, spring, summer).

Wage: $25.62 per hour (additional $6.00 per hour for ECEWE with valid ECE certificate)

This is a permanent position. This contract is from September 2026-June 2027 with the option to work summer day camps and resume in September for the following school year.
