Library to Go: How to Order Items online

Please place items on hold 3-7 days before your return appointment.

Accessing your borrower account

  • Go to wccrc.ca/library

  • Select ‘Search The Library’

  • In the top right corner, select ‘my account’

  • Enter your library card number (the barcode on the back of your library card) and your PIN number (the last 4 digits of your phone number). If you have any trouble placing your holds please contact the library for assistance.

  • Use the search field to search for library resources. You can search for a topic OR a specific resource/author (i.e. ‘Insects’ OR ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ OR ‘Eric Carle’)

To search for 'Available' items

  • Go to wccrc.ca/library

  • Select ‘Search The Library’

  • Type your search term in the search bar

  • Click on 'Advanced Search'

  • Under 'Search Library', click the check box that says 'Limit to Available'

  • Click 'Search'.

If you are placing one hold:

  • Check that the item you would like to put on hold is ‘available’. Only items that are listed as available are able to be reserved. 

  • When you find a resource that you would like to borrow, click ‘Place Hold’ to the right of the resource description

  • Check that the details on the next page are correct and click ‘submit’

If you are placing multiple holds (up to 10):

  • Check that the items you would like to put on hold are ‘available’. Only items that are listed as available are able to be reserved. 

  • Click the check box to the left of the resource number that you would like to select or click on ‘add to basket’. This adds the resource to your basket.

  • To remove a resource from your basket, uncheck the box or click ‘Remove from my basket’ to the right of the resource description.

  • One you have selected all required resources, click on the basket icon to the right of the search bar. This will show you all the items in your basket. 

  • On the drop down menu above the resource list, select an action for the items that are selected. This allows you to edit your basket if needed. 

  • Ensure that all the items you want to borrow are checked, and select ‘place hold’ from the drop down menu.

  • Click ‘Go’ 

  • Check your details are correct and click ‘submit’

Once you have placed your hold(s), a member of library staff will contact you once your holds are ready for collection to book an appointment for the collection and return of your resources. Please note that the library is open for scheduled appointments ONLY.
