Only Licensed Family Child Care or Registered Licensed Not Required Child Care Providers in Vancouver qualify for the subsidized workshop fee. If you are a Family Child Care Provider registered with the Vancouver CCRR you will receive an email (about every 3 months) with a Promo Code to apply for the FCC fee.
We have no membership. Only Registered Licensed Not Required Child Care or Licensed Family Child Care Providers in Vancouver qualify for the FCC rate.
Registration is online only. Visit our website, choose the workshop(s) you would like to register for and click the Register button at the bottom right of the workshop page you are on.
We do not have online training at the moment.
Yes. You must register online and pay to reserve your seat.
We do not offer discounted fees at the moment.
Only if the interpreter is also registered to attend the workshop and it is not disruptive to the class.
All our training is delivered in English at approximately grade 8.
You will need to make all arrangements with your organization or agency to pay for any training fees if they are sponsoring you financially. You will also need to register online and accept all policies. If your sponsoring agency requires an invoice from us, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are unable to accommodate children during workshop time. Please make your own childcare arrangements.
From time to time we may provide our workshops in other locations in Vancouver. Visit our website for more information and pay close attention to the location of the workshop you are registering for.
If you are interested in having group training for your team at your location, fill out the Customized Group Training Inquiry Form on our website and we will contact you as soon as possible.
You can also find this cancellation policy at the bottom of each workshop before registering:
- Requests for cancellations must be received at least 3 business days prior to the workshop date to get a refund, minus any Administration Fees.
- All refunds are subject to a $10 Administration Fee except for workshops or courses that are $100 or more, which have a $25 Administration Fee.
- No monies will be refunded or credits offered once the workshop starts, or if it’s missed- Westcoast may cancel a workshop at any time. Registrants will be notified and receive a full refund.
You should be working toward your certificate to practice renewal throughout the year. To help you plan and track your training, EYPD have developed a free tool at https://earlyyearsbc.ca/.
Remember: 40 hours is the minimum number required to renew a professional ECE certificate to practice. Select topics you would like to expand on or that you're passionate about.

Yes. It is the participants’ responsibility to read the workshop/course description and objectives and make sure the training selected is suitable for their learning needs. If you have a question, call us before registering. If you have questions about a workshop certificate being accepted by the ECE Registry, please contact them at 1-888-338-6622 or email them at email@example.com
There is street parking and free but limited underground parking on P1 after 5:00 pm and all day Saturday and Sunday. The entrance to the parking lot is located on Ormidale St. When driving through the parking garage you will see the parking meter to your left; a little further ahead, there's a door at the corner of the garage that leads to the outside on street level. You will see a small plaza where the lobby is. Dial 225 on the door’s dial pad to be buzzed in. Remember to note parking restrictions and allow enough time to park.
When you click the Register button you will see a message saying the workshop is full. Our online booking system reflects current availability for all training events - if an event says ‘registration is closed’, the workshop or course is full and there is no waitlist.
Yes, at the end of each workshop or course.
These are non-credit workshops and training and cannot be applied towards the completion of a certificate, diploma or degree.
Our Refund and Cancellation Policy states no monies will be refunded or credits offered once the workshop/course starts or if it’s missed.
No. As long as the Licensing Regulation remains the same, these certificates will be valid.
In keeping with our eco‐conscious goal of reducing paper use, handouts (if any), will be sent by email after each workshop. In this way, participants will have a resource that can be viewed across various devices, shared and printed any time. Some facilitators may not provide handouts for the training they offer.
