City of Vancouver Draft 2023-2026 Capital Plan

Starting this week, you are invited to share your opinion on the City of Vancouver's draft 2023-2026 Capital Plan. It's a 4-year financial plan for investments in infrastructure and amenities across the city. This includes parks, sidewalks, sewer systems, community facilities, libraries and more.

All City services require the support of well-maintained infrastructure and amenities in order to keep our city running smoothly. Investing in these areas help contribute to our quality of life, whether it’s how we move, how we enjoy public spaces, how we are kept safe, how we adapt to climate change, and how we receive clean water and other core services. This is an opportunity to have your say on priorities for how city infrastructure funds get spent over the coming years.

A large portion of the capital plan focuses on the much needed work to maintain and renew existing infrastructure and amenities around Vancouver to keep them in good shape. The remainder of the capital plan is investments in new and expanded infrastructure and amenities to help serve our growing population and economy. The City conducts public engagement on the capital plan every four years, as the plan identifies investment priorities in a four-year period.

Learn more about the plan, and share your priorities for investments in Vancouver infrastructure over the next four years in the short survey.

You can also join one of their virtual information sessions on May 11 & 12 to learn more and share your thoughts. Register at https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/city-of-vancouver-draft-2023-2026-capital-plan-registration-326057696347
