A Message From WCCRC in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic
We understand that everyone is concerned about the situation with COVID-19 and wondering how it will affect our daily work and family life.
It is our obligation to support the measures being taken by public health to mitigate the risk of spreading the virus to the most vulnerable in our population.
Our goal is to do whatever we can to keep staff and the public as safe as possible while providing essential limited services to our clients where we can.
To that effect, WCCRC has made the decision to close our offices to the public as of Monday March 16th until further notice.
We are vigilantly monitoring COVID-19 developments and looking to the Public Health Agency of Canada, HealthLink BC and BC Centre for Disease Control for guidance and recommendations as we institute new operational practices in our organization. We advise all our customers to also read the latest guidelines and updates from these organisations.
Our workshops and courses will be postponed until further notice. We are hoping to soon be able to provide professional development opportunities virtually (through Google Hangouts) and will contact all participants currently registered on any of our workshops and courses with instructions on how to do this. If you have questions for our training team, please email email@example.com.
Our Westcoast Early Learning Library (WELL) will also be closed during this period. Please keep any items you currently have. All items currently on loan will be renewed until April 30th and fines will not be accrued during our closure period. Please do not return or renew any items, we will not be charging you overdue fees. You can find free online resources at our website and we also provide access to a range of free ebooks. If you have any questions about the WELL please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
We will continue to monitor the situation as it unfolds and our website and social media channels will be updated to reflect any changes.
Thank you for your continued support as we navigate these uncertain times.
