Additional Qualifications:
Criminal record check, immunization record first aid, food safe is an asset, but not required. Our program requires all staff to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19, including boosters as recommended by provincial/federal health athorities. Flu vaccines are required yearly.
Required Experience:
This position is ideally suited to experienced educators.
Key Responsibilities:
Duties Include Supervision of children during indoor and outdoor playtime, story, and group times, and art activities. Light housekeeping duties are required of this position and are shared amongst staff members.
Salary & Benefits:
The salary for this position will be commensurate with experience. Paid benefits (health, dental, vision, life, disability, and critical illness), paid sick time, paid professional development and 2 professional development days per year, first aid, and 4 weeks paid holiday time (2 weeks in August and 2 weeks in December) are part of the remuneration package. We also have a coffee/tea bar on site and have regular teacher appreciation treats!

Our very special, well-established program (first opened in 1967) for children aged 30 months to 5 years of age is currently seeking an Early Childhood Educator to join our team. We are located near the UBC Endowment Lands, easily accessible via transit (99B Line) Successful candidates will be hard-working, have an excellent command of both spoken and written English, solid group management skills, and a love for educating young children.
Our program is unique in that we offer a smaller than usual class size (currently 19 children) although we are licensed for 25) which allows educators the opportunity for greater interaction with the children. Additionally, we offer extra-curricular activities such as soccer, music, children's yoga, and karate, an excellent opportunity to learn from instructors who are the best of the best!
Kindly note that you MUST have full provincial certification as an Early Childhood Educator.

We are seeking someone available mornings or afternoons 5 days per week, with the flexibility to work full days upon occasion to cover when staff are away.
