What is in a culture?
In my opinion, language is at the heart of a culture and Early Childhood Education is a culture of its own. The revised BC Early Learning Framework (2019) is rich in theories, and new language that can seem intimidating to many Educators.

It is well documented that young children learn through play and the fun and excitement of a day outside the classroom can be a catalyst for real engagement, not only with learning topics but also with their community, the world around them and each other.
Yesterday there was an important announcement about a partnership between the Province of BC and the City of Vancouver to develop 2,300 new child care spaces in public buildings such as schools and community centres. This announcement is in line with the Province's Child Care BC initiative to build the components of a publicly funded system for early learning and care.
