We are seeking an exceptional Early Childhood Educator for this key leadership position in our large non-profit child care society in Richmond BC.

Qualifications Basic ECE

Additional Qualifications:

Thorough undersatinding of emergent/responsive/reggio-inspired curriculum an asset

Required Experience:

  • Passionate about Early Childhood Education in a play-based, emergent environment
  • Possesses a deep understanding of emergent curriculum, the image of the child and the environment as the third Educator
  • Passionate about mentoring and leading Early Childhood Educators to meet their full potential
  • Committed to our vision of “Changing the world by honouring childhood”
  • Skilled oral and written communicator with families, children and colleagues
  • Experienced in emergent/responsive curriculum leadership, theory and practice
  • Strong administrative skills (Google Drive (docs, sheets), Gmail etc.)
  • Demonstrates understanding of administrative procedures concerning the BC Affordable Child Care Benefit Program (MCFD)
  • Experience working with Supported Child Development Program and supporting children with additional support needs and their families
  • Excellent team building and motivational skills and experience
  • Committed to growing within our organisation and playing a leadership role
  • Experienced in leadership positions

Salary & Benefits:

We will offer:

  • An exceptional, supportive and innovative work environment
  • A comprehensive compensation package which includes:  Cost-shared medical/dental package, matched RRSP to $500/year, paid sick days, vacation of 15 days to start, a cash health and wellness benefit, and more. 
  • Salary starts at over: $26 per hour and increases 2% per year for the first 6 years.
