Featured Workshop
Join us for the Trauma-Informed Practice in ECE Programs workshop facilitated by Pooja Kalsi. With 28 years of experience in the Early Childhood field as a teacher, facilitator, supervisor, director, and instructor, Pooja is very passionate about finding ways to promote children's creativity and support their social emotional health. She currently teaches at Langara College in the ECE department.
This workshop introduces early childhood educators to Trauma Sensitive Pedagogy (TSP) for creating safe, supportive, and predictable learning environments. Participants will explore how trauma affects young children’s behaviour and development. Together, we will look into practical strategies—such as co-regulation and sensory supports—as the way to respond to challenging moments with empathy and effectiveness.

Exploring Three Common ‘Alarm-Based’ Troubles (4810-8100)

*Although participants are not required to register for all four sessions, the series is designed for and most beneficial when taken as a whole.
During this event we will explore the three main alarm spectrum patterns—anxiety-based, agitation-based, and adrenaline-based—showing how they differ depending on how much alarm is felt versus defended against. It highlights the “flight” in each pattern (from perceived threats, from feeling, or from vulnerability) and why quick-fix relief strategies don’t resolve root alarm.
Administration & Management for Child Care Course
The online Administration & Management for Child Care (AMCC) course provides a comprehensive overview of all aspects of leadership development.
Our 40-hour Instructor-Guided online course is delivered and guided by expert instructors with years of experience in child care and has been specially designed to support and strengthen innovative practices in leadership.
We also offer a 12-hour Self-Guided version with unlimited spaces available. You can study any time and at your own pace. Learn more about both courses and how to register on our AMCC page.
To support the course, we have also created the AMCC Knowledge Base, a comprehensive online information database for ECE leaders with detailed guidance on all areas of child care leadership.

Fees for online customized professional development are inclusive of facilitator fee, hosting, registration, certificates, technical support, secure Zoom access for online training, and additional learning resources, if applicable.
