RFT OSC Assistant Senior Supervisor
We are currently seeking a Fulltime OSC Assistant Senior Supervisor at our Eagles in the Sky Child Care location. Eagles in the Sky operates a licensed 25-spot Daycare and 40-spot Out of School Care program in out buildings, on the site of the Xpey' Elementary School. We believe in providing a range of safe, stimulating, and nurturing childcare programs that respect and embrace each child and family.
The purpose of this position is to provide leadership and guidance for educators, volunteers and students, to provide planning and implementation of curriculum and to support the administrative functions to operate the centre. This position reports to the Senior Supervisor.

- Ability to plan, carry out and evaluate developmentally appropriate activities and experiences for children using modelling, observing, questioning, reflecting, demonstrating and reinforcing techniques
- Ensures a healthy and safe environment
Required Experience:
QUALIFICATIONS
- Current BC ECE License to Practice Certificate and/or ECE relevant qualifications
- Current First Aid Certification
- Written verification of healthy physical and mental health as stated by a qualified physician
- Clear criminal record check
- Minimum one (2) years relevant experience in a leadership role
- Able to work 7 hours/day with some split shifts as needed
Key Responsibilities:
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES
- In collaboration with the Senior Supervisor, the Assistant Senior Supervisor: plans, assigns, oversees and reviews the work of staff, volunteers and students
- Schedules and conducts staff meetings
- Enrolls new children and their families to the program
- Engages and communicates regularly with families
- Observes, reflects and implements emergent curriculum
- Works in the program with children and educators, with scheduled administrative time provided
- Is passionate about providing a meaningful, healthy and safe environment for all children and staff
- Works supportively and cooperatively as an effective team member
- Purchases snack and program supplies, recording and submitting receipts; within a prescribed budget
- Assists the Senior Supervisor in maintaining financial and administrative records keeping and accounting functions
- Is familiar with current licensing regulations, policies, and is responsible to implement them as directed
Salary & Benefits:

Salary - $23.74/hour + $4.00/hour Wage Enhancement for ECE qualifications
