ECE

Required Experience:

• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Ability to lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and engaging in arts
• Knowledge and understanding of age-appropriate activities and developmental needs of children
• Good knowledge and understanding of BC’s Guiding Children’s Behaviour and Early Learning Framework
• Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toileting (including diapering)
• Respectful and collaborative team player
• Organize and maintain a clean and safe environment
• Experience with play-based approach to learning is an asset

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Senior Supervisor, this position works with other ECEs to ensure the health, safety and well-being of children; to comply with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act and Child Care Licensing Regulation; to implement and supervise development appropriate activities that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children.

Salary & Benefits:

$30.40 per hour + 4% of salary in lieu of vacation + 4.2 stat pay (plus $6 per hour in ECE Wage Enhancement for eligible ECEs)

Additional Notes:

Must be available to work Monday to Friday (various shifts between 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM)
